I am an ambitious and hard-working senior currently pursuing degrees in Business Management and Health Science at Stony Brook University. My fascination with investing and financial markets, coupled with my desire to help others understand the importance of investing and focusing on the future, are why I aspire to work in financial services. I am someone who believes in finding ways to better myself every day, and I also believe that success is built up over the long term; as Warren Buffett once said, "Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." I am actively involved in Stony Brook's business community, whether it is in my role as the current secretary and former president and vice president of Stony Brook's Investment Club, representing Stony Brook in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, or serving as a TA for finance and economics courses at Stony Brook. I also have a diverse range of prior internship experience with the likes of SMB Capital/Kershner Trading Group, Edward Jones, and MTN Capital Partners among other firms, and I have most recently interned as a summer analyst with WP Global Partners. These experiences have taught me a great deal about the business/finance world, including the importance of working in teams, speaking one-on-one and to groups of people, teaching others what you know while at the same time being an avid and active learner, and how vital it is to focus on the bigger picture and the long term. In my spare time, I actively manage a diversified portfolio of US large-cap equities that has consistently outperformed the S&P 500 since inception, read articles and research on finance, and carry out fundamental and technical investment research on indices and individual stocks. Outside of investing, I also enjoy playing soccer and ultimate frisbee, am a Real Madrid and New York City FC supporter, and follow politics.
