Model Description: My model forecasts Facebook’s revenue and earnings per share from the second quarter of 2020 through the end of the 2021 fiscal year. The earnings forecast is based upon my predicted shifts in Facebook’s monthly active users (MAU) and average revenue generated per user (ARPU) across the different regions. The operating expenses are modeled according to management’s guidance for the upcoming quarter and kept consistent with previous years for quarters beyond that. I have a very favorable view of Facebook and expect it to grow in revenue despite headwinds such as covid-19, less-directed advertisements, and ad-boycotts. I believe that the strong user growth due to the pandemic, global economies reopening, and Facebook’s status as the premier advertising platform will help offset those headwinds and continue growth...click here to continue reading

Yoganand is a rising sophomore (as of 2020) at the Wharton School - University of Pennsylvania with a planned concentration in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. He transferred to Wharton after completing his first year of undergraduate studies at the Rutgers Honors College as a Finance and Computer Science double major. At Rutgers University, Yoganand was a small-caps junior analyst for the Student Managed Fund – a $170K fund managed and ran by Rutgers students. He is interested in a career in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital. In his free time, Yoganand enjoys watching and playing football, programming passion projects, and tutoring local elementary school students.
